I've had my method for 6 months and just replaced the batteries in the motion detectors. I assume that working with better top quality batteries than those supplied will mean altering them closer to as soon as a year. Not negative at all, given that I do not have to run any wires to these places.
I opted not to use the window/door sensors, as they appear somewhat tacky in my opinion. As an alternative, I got a couple added motion detectors to offer complete coverage of my house. The sensors are somewhat adjustable. On the default setting, they do choose up my 4 pound dog.
In the past 6 months, I have not had any false alarms exactly where I could not decide the cause. There have been numerous days where I forgot to disengage the program and walked proper by way of the motion detection field. Certainly, I can't blame that on the system.
General, I'd say this is an amazing process for the price tag. The manage pad looks kinda low cost, so I did not prominently display it in my house. It is in a closet. The motion detectors are particularly tiny and unobtrusive. I've told household and friends that I have the alarm method and most of them didn't have any concept, as the detectors blend in quite properly.
Hi everyone, i ordered the Skylink SC-100W (newer model) and received mine two days ago. I set it up yesterday. Since the technique comes pre-set it only took me 30 minutes. The only factor i had to transform was the passcode. The motion detector alone would have been adequate for me as that factor is as sharp as a needle. Considering the fact that i have no pets and no kids i have mine on high and it's great. The window/door sensors took a bit of playing around with but they're operating fine (for now). I have my alarm on "Chime" mode for the reason that the siren is particularly loud, my ears had been ringing all night soon after i had tested it. In spite of this i have excellent comfort realizing i can use the panic button on my keychain to activate the siren if i feel i'm in danger. It's so loud that my neighbours will hear it and will be calling 911 in no time. I had the alarm on all night and had no false alarms. It has only been 1 night but i am extremely happy with the technique. I'm told this a newer model, i am not quite confident how it differs from the Skylink SC 100 Deluxe Kit. If anybody could tell me the difference that would be terrific. All in all i am fairly happy with the method and i'm giving it 4 stars mainly because of how sharp the motion sensor is and for the reason that the siren is really loud. I sleep nicely at night....fairly nicely.
