SO....I purchased the VOIP Grandstream Handystream 286 adapter from Amazon went to CallCentric and signed up for their VOIP telephone . Its fantastic for a alarm system for the reason that it will dial out and I can now contact in to my alarm. Price? $1.95 per month. Wonderful! If any person finds a superior VOIP source let me know!
Second update:
Discovered out my dog can set off the motion detectors. No dilemma, raised the pointing angle and now my pug does not set off the alarm. My wife and I set it every single time we go out. Even with the dog at household. Adore this method.
Third update Feb 2011:
System nonetheless working wonderful. Had to replace the 9V batteries for two of the motion detectors, so I would say they final about 6 months. I replaced the batteries on all the units anyway. Very easy to do, and I did not have to reprogram any of them. Amazon has some awesome offers on 9V Alkaline batteries. I also dropped my VOIP CallCentric and I just use the Vonage VOIP. No need for two systems, I never had to dial into the safety method, no false alarms!
Had this alarm technique for the final two months. Also, bought the GSM Cellular Module, since I do not have a land-line.
