I purchased these to place on our back sliding doors so I'd know when the kids went outside. I enjoy the chime feature, its loud adequate to hear by way of most of the residence. They go on so easily, and are inexpensive. The alarm feature is LOUD...so they'd function fantastic for that goal, also. There is also an off switch, so that is nice.
I read the other evaluations just before posting this one particular. In the first critique, the poster stated the alarm was loud enough to hear, in most of the home. I consider that is a perfectly correct statement.
The cause, I am only giving these alarms an average rating (3 star) is simply because I want to be able to hear an alarm all through all the entire house! I want the alarm to be loud adequate to wake me in a dead sleep, from the other side of the residence! I want an intrusion alarm to be loud sufficient to wake my neighbors (and there is NO way these alarms will)!
The package claimed the alarms were 120 db. As somebody who is familiar with decibels, I can guaranty these alrms are NOWHERE near 120 db!
