I've had the Wilife camera program for two months, and I've located it meets my desires to provide a view of what is happening at particular areas about the house (inside or out). With the backyard outdoor camera, I attached-it to something my X-ten camera used that could rotate the camera to fixed points that one particular established. It was known as a "ninja" unit, and I have identified it to be beneficial in allowing my backyard camera to view a few spots in rotation, or but I want to do it.
The clock, or "spy," camera is a further camera that is simple and easy to use. I hooked it up, and it was worked fine from the get-go. It picks-up an image in slightly lower light better than the inside camera. If there is 1 issue I wish the program had, it is that the clock camera had a battery back-up. Concerning this instance, it turned-out that I forgot to close a single door all the way and dog pushed it open.
Overall, I have found the WiLife Technique has met my needs. I did get the extended warranties on gear via NEW as supplied on Amazon, and have been pleased with their service. The two instances I have had a warranty issue with other gear (a pc and a printer), NEW has taken care of the matter immediately or has had fairly excellent technical support to support me resolve the issue Even even though I am not anticipating any difficulties with the WiLife Method, in some cases it does not hurt to have the additional protection. I in particular thought an extended warranty would be excellent due to the fact 1 can't hook-it-up through an UPS or surge protector. Wilife Digital Security Process is the 1st video security process I've had that seriously works . . . at least component of the time. But it's a far cry from foolproof. And I'll admit to getting some thing of a fool when it comes to electronics.

The Superior

The Poor
Installing this process was anything but the 15-minute breeze promised by the Logitech blurb. I ended up calling their help quantity (the rep was valuable and pleasant) and finally resolved the dilemma with new software. (six hours)
I wasn't done but. The software program needed to recognize the camera - and that took a few trips to the Information base to resolve. Turns out this technique does not operate or play properly with my firewall (or my virus protection), so all those programs had to be turned off in order for camera recognition to happen (another four hours).
Then my sleeper complained about the brightness of the light on the spy clock. I toned it down with a sheet of paper cut to fit the display, and she was pacified (yet another hour). Had I not taken this step, she would have removed the camera from her room, and the complete physical exercise would have been for naught.
The Ugly
The method refused to operate at all this morning. Apparently, one other plan was interfering with recognition of the USB device, so I had to go by means of the whole install process again (one other hour and 1/2). By this time, my temper is becoming frayed at the edges, and I am questioning if it is genuinely worth the work I am placing in to it.
Conclusion
Image quality is fantastic adequate for my purposes, and leaving my devoted computer on all the time, I think I can keep contact with the camera. So, for me it is worth it.
However, you shouldn't have to be a computer system wizard to set this process up and get it working. Installation will need to be the breeze promised - but for me it was not!
